On the evening of November 7, 2008, more than 100 residents, dignitaries, and honored guests assembled in the Turtle Room of 3525 Turtle Creek to celebrate two very important milestones: its Fiftieth Anniversary and the building's inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. Chairperson Olive Anne McLaughlin introduced Laura Leppert, wife of Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, who read a City Council Resolution honoring 3525 on the occasion of its Golden Anniversary. The evening featured a documentary produced by Emmy-award winning 3525 resident Tom Bywaters, introduction of special guests including members of the families of building developers Edward Dicker and Jerome Frank, remarks by Texas State Representative Dan Branch and a champagne toast.
